Why Vote for Raul?

My top priority is to strengthen communications between our district residents and their city leadership. Trust is the foundation of effective governance, and I am committed to fostering transparency, accessibility, and collaboration. We must empower residents to actively engage, ensuring their voices are heard and their votes shape our city's future. 

Equally important is to prioritize timely responses to citizens' concerns. I plan on being a full-time council member and I am dedicated to upholding the 48-hour response commitment and staying deeply involved in our community by attending community events and listening to your needs firsthand. 

 Infrastructure is the backbone of our community, and each district deserves attention tailored to its unique needs. Streets, roads, and drainage systems must be reliable, safe, and effective for all residents. The Capital Improvement Plan is a critical tool for ensuring transparency and keeping each district informed about upcoming projects and initiatives.

I am deeply committed to making our roads safer and eliminating concerns about flooding through proactive planning and swift action. Addressing critical issues like potholes, particularly in the areas north of Spencer Highway, will be a top priority. I will collaborate with the necessary departments and agencies to ensure these repairs are completed and prevent similar issues from recurring.

Safety is the cornerstone of a thriving community, and I am committed to creating a secure environment for all residents. By working together, we can build a community where everyone feels safe and protected. 

My plan includes:

Collaborating with Law Enforcement: Strengthening partnerships with local police and fire departments through regular meetings, community policing initiatives, and public safety forums.

Engaging the Community: Hosting town halls, workshops, and surveys to actively involve residents in identifying safety concerns and crafting collaborative solutions.

Supporting Crime Prevention: Advocating for programs like neighborhood watch, youth outreach, and safety education campaigns to proactively reduce crime.

Investing in Safety Infrastructure: Maintained sidewalks and ensuring well-lit streets, to deter crime and prevent accidents.

Preparing for Emergencies: Promoting disaster preparedness, public health training, and robust emergency response resources to protect our community in times of need.

Addressing Mental Health & Substance Abuse: Partnering with local organizations to tackle root causes of crime and provide essential resources to those in need.

Enhancing Youth and Community Services: Developing programs and facilities to engage young people and offer constructive alternatives that reduce crime.
